Reactive flow systems

» Research group members

“Reactive flow systems’ describe the flow conditions in the different geometries of the reaction chambers, taking the diverse interactions into account, including homogeneous and heterogeneous chemical reactions and defining the local and global process conditions in the reaction chambers.

The task of the researchers group ‘reactive flow systems’ lies in analysing flow conditions in high temperature conversion processes, applying them to models and, incorporating the models of the other groups, combining them into an overall model for the reaction chamber; all of this from an interdisciplinary background. This group is also responsible for the numerical simulation of the entire process, taking the reaction chamber  geometries and their virtualisation into account.
