The ‘multiphase systems’ describe the behaviour of substances occurring in very diverse forms in high temperature conversion processes, their interactions and structural and/or physical and chemical changes, considered with respect to the partial oxidation conditions.

The research project of the research group ‘multiphase systems’ consists of analysing the complex material systems of actual high temperature material conversion processes, from an interdisciplinary background. Also, generating appropriate consistent material data records as well as describing and illustrating, in mathematic-scientific models, the influence of process conditions on material systems, especially thermodynamically.
